How important is this season for John Szefc's program?


I read that Tech was picked 6th in the ACC Coastal and was the 12th in receiving votes (ahead of Notre Dame and Pitt). Except for Louisville, all the northern ACC teams are ranked in the bottom.

If Tech does live up to their preseason ranking and finishes 6th in Coastal, does that place Szefc on the hot seat next season? I'm not judging the Tech program on one opening season loss. I'm just asking what the expectations are for the baseball program in Szefc's third season? Is his rebuilding of the Tech baseball program on schedule?
